By nature, relatively involved home improvement projects entail more details and higher costs. If you're headed in the direction of seeking a home addition or remodel, then you can expect to spend a lot of time sorting through designs, material selections, project mapping, and permitting through the town. This can be referred to as the "Pre-Construction" process, or "Pre-Con."
Our Pre-Construction process is cohesive and transparent. Most importantly, it brings its own inherent value to the table.
When preparing to commit to a project that will likely last several months, it is crucial to understand the building blocks of that project. Beginning with the overall vision, a Pre-Construction process will set a client up for success by mending the many transitions between breaking ground and finishing up those last punch list items.
Your vision paves the road for mapping out a design. That design lays the foundation for cultivating material selections and an official scope of work. A detailed scope of work will dictate the different trades to be involved as well as what their responsibilities will be. Mix all of that together, and you've now got to make sure that your plan abides by local municipalities and their respective building codes.
Collectively understanding all of these concepts and how they intertwine will allow you to have a well-rounded understanding of the overall cost of your project before fully committing to your investment.
During "Pre-Con," it is our job to serve as the medium between all of these moving pieces. Due to hands-on experience in the field, as well as a highly-vetted network of knowledgable tradesmen and women, we aim to construct the most practical, sustainable, economical, and personally tailored process for you and your upcoming project.
By the time our Pre-Construction process is complete, you will have a "Permit-Ready" road map that will serve as a guide throughout the entirety of your project. This map, in itself, will not bind you to having us physically build your project- but it will shed light on all of the reasons why you'll want to continue working with us anyway.
If you're interested in seeing templates for Pre-Construction on some of our projects, shoot us a message and we'll send some your way.
